Again very simple way of bypassing 1600 error on itunes:
1. Use redsnow 0.9.4 and selected 3.1.2 firmware
2. Follow the instruction on the screen
3. When it shows the logo with the harddrive saying DOWNLOADING JAILBREAK DATA, simply disconected it
4. Then the iphone is in correct mode to receive the customfirmware
5. Close redsnow and start itunes
6. It will say that iphone in recovery mode was found
7. press “shift” key and click “restore” button to selected iPhone 3.1.3 Custom Restore ipsw firmware file
8. It will take few minutes before it starts to restore
Magic! and you will have a jailbroken iPhone 3G with 3.1.3 firmware
